Narváez bridged into the move on the Passo del Termine and was a constant presence at the front through the closing climbs. He marked Diego Ulissi's late attack inside the final 2 km and then sat on Enric Mas's wheel as the Spaniard accelerated to Cogorno, letting Mas do almost all the work over the top. In the two-up finale at Chiavari he came around comfortably to take the sprint, claiming his third stage win of this Giro.

Took his second win of the race from the hilly Le Marche finale, accelerating on the Muro di Capodarco inside 10 km to go and soloing into Fermo ahead of the Uno-X pair Leknessund and Tjøtta. The steep walls suited him perfectly and confirmed him as the Giro's most prolific stage-hunter.
