Léo Bisiaux, Decathlon's hilly-classics prospect and Paul Seixas's running mate, opened the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (the rebranded Critérium du Dauphiné) with a statement: third on stage 1 at Saint-Ismier, sprinting out of the reduced front group behind solo winner Alex Baudin. He continued to ride aggressively through the week in support of Seixas's GC bid, getting into the breakaway on the final mountain stage to Plateau de Solaison. The week showcased the young Frenchman's punch and his value as a foil for Decathlon's GC leadership.
