Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini took the biggest result of her young career at Milano-Sanremo Donne in 2026, riding to third place on home roads. The UAE Team ADQ rider followed the decisive Poggio selection into a front group of five and, supported by teammate Dominika Włodarczyk's selfless work on the run-in, held off the chasing peloton to round out the podium behind Lotte Kopecky and Noemi Rüegg. A home Monument podium that announced the Italian as one of her squad's emerging one-day cards.
Gasparrini gave UAE Team ADQ a second rider in the leading group, completing the front five over the Kemmelberg. She came home fifth at three seconds, just losing touch in the closing dash, and alongside Swinkels' third gave the team two riders inside the top five of a WorldTour Classic.
The Italian followed the Poggio selection and benefited from teammate Włodarczyk's selfless work to keep the break clear. On the Via Roma she held third behind Kopecky and Rüegg for a home Monument podium — a career-defining result and reward for UAE Team ADQ's strength in numbers in the decisive group.
Gasparrini survived the selection on the two ascents of the Garbí to make the reduced front group, exactly where UAE Team ADQ needed her on this punchy course. Once Lippert slipped clear in the closing kilometres there was no answer to the Movistar solo, but Gasparrini was sharp in the gallop behind, taking fourth on the same time as the second and third placed riders. A clean early-season ride that fits the trajectory of a rider building toward her one-day classics targets.
