Stage 3 is the first true mountain day — 166km from Gruissan on the French Mediterranean coast over the Pyrenees border to a finish at Font Romeu (Catalan Pyrenees, France). The race crosses from France to Andorra via this Catalan Alpine corridor. Cat-1 climbing on the closing kilometres to the ski-station finish.
