Narratives to watch
- Decathlon-AG2R / Decathlon-CMA CGM traditionally brings the strongest team given the mix of ribinou skill and French roots — went 1-2 in 2025.
- Weather is the great equaliser — a wet edition turns the race into a brutal mud-fest reminiscent of vintage Paris-Roubaix.
- Race organisers continue lobbying ASO to use ribinou sectors in a future Tour de France stage — Brittany's 'strade bianche' answer.
- Winner gets a live piglet — a uniquely Breton prize that has become part of the race's identity.
Form book & lore
Created in 1984 by Jean-Paul Mellouët. Past winners include Jacky Durand, Frédéric Guesdon, Jan Kirsipuu and Baden Cooke. Now a UCI ProSeries race and part of the Coupe de France.
