Stage 3
Orbe - Orbe
Stage 3 loops 176.6km around the medieval town of Orbe in a valley of vineyards surrounded by narrow gorges and limestone cliffs. After the early Suchy climb and rolling uncategorised terrain, the final 64.6km loop south features the third-category Oulens-Sur-Echallens followed by the stage's big test: the Col Mollendruz, a 21.8km ascent in the Jura Mountains. From the top, all 32km back to Orbe are downhill.

When to tune in
The 21.8km Col Mollendruz is one of the longest climbs of the week and could produce major GC action - though the 32km descent gives dropped riders a chance to regroup. Bold descenders may take the stage from a small group. Potential for breakaway success if the GC teams don't control aggressively.
