Renewi Tour
The 21st Renewi Tour (formerly Benelux Tour, BinckBank Tour and Eneco Tour) runs August 19–23, 2026 — five stages tailor-made for Classics riders and hilly specialists. Four stages take place in Belgium and one in the Netherlands: a 13km ITT on day 2. Stages 1 (Diest) and 4 are sprint-friendly, while stage 3 (Celles → Geraardsbergen) carries a full Flemish-classic profile with multiple cobbled climbs and two laps of a Geraardsbergen finishing circuit featuring the Muur van Geraardsbergen and Bosberg. The race climaxes with a Sunday final that typically rewards punchy GC contenders.

Narratives to watch
- Five names, one race: Now in its 21st edition, the Renewi Tour has cycled through brand identities (Eneco Tour → BinckBank Tour → Benelux Tour → Renewi Tour) without changing its tactical DNA — Classics riders dominate.
- Muur van Geraardsbergen as the centrepiece: Stage 3's twin-loop circuit climbs the iconic Muur and Bosberg multiple times — historically the GC-defining day.
- ITT on day 2: A 13km flat ITT in the Netherlands gives TT specialists a chance to grab a GC buffer before the Flemish hills.
- Diest Grand Départ: 2026 launches from Diest, Flemish Brabant — a new opening for the race.
Form book & lore
First held as the Eneco Tour in 2005, the race has cycled through multiple title sponsors (Eneco → BinckBank → Benelux → Renewi). It became a UCI WorldTour event in 2011. The combined Belgian/Dutch terrain — Flemish hills + Limburg climbs + coastal flats — has made it a perennial showcase for Classics-style riders.
When to tune in
Stage 3 (Celles → Geraardsbergen) is the must-watch — the Muur loop will splinter the field. Stage 5 traditionally serves up a late GC twist if margins are thin. The day-2 ITT is the only race-of-truth, but only 13km worth.
