Milano–Sanremo Donne
Milano-Sanremo Donne — the women's Classicissima, returning to the WWT calendar in 2026 after a previous hiatus. Approximately 132km along the Ligurian Riviera, finishing in Sanremo with the same iconic Cipressa-Poggio closing sequence as the men's race. The shorter distance favours classics-sprinters and puncheurs, but the closing climbs still produce the decisive selection.

Narratives to watch
- Returning Classic: Milano-Sanremo Donne returns to the WWT calendar after a hiatus — a milestone for women's Monument-tier racing.
- Same iconic finale: the Cipressa-Poggio closing sequence is the same dramatic finale that defines the men's race.
- Shorter but selective: 132km is shorter than men's 290km, but the closing climbs still determine the winning move.
Form book & lore
The women's edition of Milano-Sanremo was previously held as a separate race (Primavera Rosa, 1999-2005) before being discontinued. Its return to the WWT calendar in 2025-2026 marks a major addition to the women's Monument-tier calendar.
When to tune in
As with the men's race, the action is in the closing 50km. Watch the Poggio for puncheur attacks aiming to drop the sprinters before the Via Roma finish.
