Stage 19
Feltre → Alleghe
Stage 19 is the marquee Dolomite stage — 151km from Feltre to a summit finish at Alleghe (Piani di Pezzè). Two classic Dolomite climbs precede the final ascent, building one of the most punishing single days of the 2026 Giro. The standings after stage 19 effectively set the podium going into stage 20.

Where the stage is decided
What to follow
- Marquee Dolomite day: the route designers' centrepiece, with iconic mountain scenery and brutal gradients.
- Short distance + summit finish + multiple Dolomite passes = recipe for GC fireworks.
- Last realistic chance for big GC moves before the penultimate Piancavallo and the Roman finale.
When to tune in
The decisive attacks tend to come on the penultimate climb, not the final ascent — riders who time it right gap the maglia rosa before the closing 10km.
