UCI Cyclocross World Cup Hoogerheide–Women Elite
Hoogerheide hosts the traditional World Cup season finale in the southern Netherlands, near the Belgian border. The course, designed by former professional cyclist Adrie van der Poel, winds through the grounds of a recreational park featuring grass sections, sand pits, steep run-ups, and technical descents. In January conditions, the grass becomes heavy mud that tests riders' stamina and bike handling. Hoogerheide has also frequently hosted the UCI Cyclocross World Championships, making it one of the sport's most storied venues.
