Copenhagen Sprint
Copenhagen Sprint — Denmark's UCI WorldTour one-day race in its second edition. The men's race on Sunday June 14, 2026 starts from Roskilde and finishes in central Copenhagen after a journey across Zealand, including several finishing laps through the city centre. The route is deliberately designed for sprinters, with flat-to-rolling Zealand terrain framing a closing circuit that favours fast finishers and well-drilled lead-out trains. Echelons are always a risk on the exposed Danish coast.

Narratives to watch
- Second edition: After a successful 2025 debut, Copenhagen Sprint settles into its established WorldTour slot — fans and teams now know what to expect on the city-centre run-in.
- Sprinter-targeted course: One of the rare WorldTour one-day races built explicitly for the pure sprinters' tactical playbook. The closing laps reward strong lead-out trains and clean positioning.
- Zealand crosswind risk: The exposed coastal terrain between Roskilde and Copenhagen is classic echelon country — a strong side-wind can split the field early and rewrite the script.
- Vuelta-and-Worlds barometer: Coming a week ahead of the Tour de France and just before Worlds buildup, the result is an early read on which sprinters have peaked for the second half of the season.
Form book & lore
The Copenhagen Sprint was first announced in December 2023 and launched as both a men's and women's UCI WorldTour event in 2025. It is the only Danish race on the WorldTour calendar (alongside the existing PostNord Danmark Rundt stage race). The 2025 inaugural edition established it among the top-tier one-day races.
