Jours de Dunkerque
French UCI 2.Pro stage race held May 20-24, 'Les 4 Jours' is the traditional spring stage race of northern France. Despite the name, it actually runs five stages totalling roughly 850km across the Hauts-de-France region — a mix of sprint stages, a hilly day in the Boulonnais, and frequent crosswind action.

§ 05 — Storylines
Narratives to watch
- 75th edition (or thereabouts) — one of the oldest French stage races still on the calendar, dating to 1955.
- Traditional crosswind clinic — flat parcours plus North Sea wind plus narrow roads = peloton splits and GC chaos.
- Cassel cobbled climb (familiar from the Tour de France's 2014 stage) is the one categorised obstacle that breaks the sprinters' grip on the race.
§ 06 — Historical Context
Form book & lore
First held in 1955. Past winners include Eddy Merckx, Jean-Patrick Nazon, and Arnaud Démare. UCI 2.Pro since 2020.
§ 07 — Viewing Notes
When to tune in
France 3 Hauts-de-France live; FloBikes (NA) often streams. The hilly stage (typically stage 3 or 4) is must-watch — that's where the GC is decided.
